Project Notes: Guilsborough Bathroom – Main Bathroom
The Brief:
Whilst also designing the Master and Second Ensuite bathrooms within this Guilsborough home, our clients wanted the main bathroom to continue the same luxurious, cohesive feel while offering a slightly more statement-led space for family, guests and visitors. The aim was to create a bathroom that felt elegant, practical and welcoming, with enough visual impact to stand apart from the en-suites while still feeling connected to the wider design scheme.
Continuity was especially important, so the brushed brass finishes, considered lighting and refined tile choices were carried through from the other bathrooms in the property.
The Design:
For this Guilsborough main bathroom project, Eat Soak Sleep created a beautifully balanced space featuring a 1600 x 800mm freestanding bath, a generous 1200 x 800mm shower enclosure and a striking double vanity area. The layout gives the room a luxurious feel while ensuring it works well for everyday family use and visiting guests.
The design continues the home’s brushed brass detailing through the taps, shower fittings, shower enclosure frame, towel warmer and accessories. These warm metallic finishes sit beautifully against the dramatic green walls and book-matched porcelain tiles, creating a scheme that feels coordinated with the master bathroom and second ensuite while having its own distinctive character.
A 1200mm bespoke reeded vanity, created from kitchen units, adds texture and practical storage beneath the porcelain worktop. The sit-on bowls, round mirrors and feature pendant lighting give the vanity area a strong sense of symmetry and elegance. The book-matched porcelain tiles create a dramatic backdrop around the bath and vanity, while the rich green walls add depth, warmth and personality. The room is completed with a rainfall shower head, electric underfloor heating and carefully chosen feature lighting, making it both comfortable and highly practical.
The Result:
This Guilsborough main bathroom brings together the key design themes used throughout the home’s bathrooms: brushed brass finishes, luxurious surfaces, thoughtful lighting and refined modern styling. By combining a freestanding bath, generous shower enclosure, double vanity, book-matched porcelain tiles and rich green accents, Eat Soak Sleep created a family and guest bathroom that feels polished, welcoming and perfectly connected to the wider home.
