Project Notes: Little Brington Study
The Brief:
Our clients in Little Brington wanted a beautifully crafted home office that would feel elegant, practical and personal, while offering a calm and organised space for working from home. The aim was to create a traditional study with a contemporary twist, combining generous desk space, bespoke storage and refined finishes that would complement the character of the home.
The space needed to include practical filing, display shelving, concealed storage and space for everyday office equipment, without losing the warmth and comfort of a relaxed home office.
The Design:
For this Little Brington study project, Eat Soak Sleep designed bespoke handcrafted painted furniture with a carefully considered mix of closed storage, open shelving and glass-fronted display cabinets. The soft painted cabinetry gives the space a refined, classic feel, while the warm wood interiors add contrast, depth and a welcoming glow.
The home office layout is centred around a practical fitted desk area, with a durable porcelain worktop providing a generous and elegant working surface. Bespoke filing cabinet drawers were included to keep paperwork organised, while solid oak dovetail drawer boxes add a premium crafted detail.
Feature lighting within the open shelving and display cabinets helps create a warm, atmospheric finish, highlighting decorative items and making the study feel inviting as well as functional. A built-in printer area, radiator integration and carefully planned storage ensure the room works beautifully for everyday use while maintaining a polished, uncluttered appearance.
The Result:
This Little Brington study demonstrates how bespoke fitted furniture can transform a home office into a practical and characterful working space. By combining handcrafted painted cabinetry, warm wood detailing, porcelain worktops, bespoke filing drawers and integrated feature lighting, Eat Soak Sleep created a study that feels elegant, organised and perfectly tailored to the home.
