Project Notes: Stretton On Dunsmore Main Family Bathroom
The Brief:
For this Stretton On Dunsmore family bathroom, the clients wanted a practical, stylish space that would work beautifully for everyday use. As the main bathroom in the home, the room needed to offer a well-balanced combination of bathing, showering, storage and comfort, while still feeling calm, elegant and easy to maintain.
Following on from the family bathroom project in the same property, the design needed to retain a sense of continuity while giving this room its own softer, more neutral character. The clients wanted a bright and refined finish, with useful fitted storage, a comfortable bath and a generous shower enclosure.
The Design:
Eat Soak Sleep designed this family bathroom around a clean, fully tiled scheme with soft marble-effect surfaces and warm wood-effect furniture. The bespoke vanity was created using kitchen furniture, allowing for a highly tailored fitted solution that makes the best possible use of the available space.
The vanity area combines a built-up quartz worktop with a countertop basin, giving the room a polished and practical focal point. The curved furniture detail softens the layout, while the integrated WC keeps the overall look neat and streamlined. The wood-effect finish adds warmth against the pale wall tiles, creating a gentle contrast without making the room feel busy.
A stone resin back-to-wall bath measuring 1524 x 800mm provides a comfortable bathing area, set against the same elegant tiled backdrop. Above the bath, a recessed storage niche adds a practical place for toiletries while also introducing subtle feature lighting. The Quintet shower enclosure, measuring 1400 x 900mm, gives the family a spacious and convenient showering area, with clear glass helping to keep the room open and bright. The fully tiled finish, electric underfloor heating and carefully planned fitted furniture ensure the room is easy to use, easy to clean and comfortable throughout the year.
The Result:
This Stretton On Dunsmore main family bathroom is a smart, warm and highly functional space designed for everyday family life. The finished room combines practical storage, a generous shower, a comfortable bath and a calm neutral palette, while the wood-effect furniture and quartz worktop add a more bespoke, furniture-led feel.
It works beautifully alongside the other bathroom in the same home, continuing the carefully considered approach while giving this family bathroom a lighter and softer look of its own.
