Project Notes: Willoughby Farm House Master Ensuite
The Brief:
Our clients at Willoughby Farm House wanted a master ensuite that would feel luxurious, uplifting and full of personality, while still working beautifully as a practical everyday bathroom. The aim was to create a space that combined traditional comfort with a more contemporary and playful design twist, using colour, texture and carefully chosen finishes to give the room a distinctive character.
With beautiful garden views and plenty of natural light, the design needed to feel calm and connected to the surrounding setting, while introducing standout features such as a freestanding bath, walk-in shower and bespoke vanity furniture.
The Design:
For this Willoughby bathroom project, Eat Soak Sleep created a characterful master ensuite with a strong focus on texture, warmth and colour. A bespoke 1200mm reeded wood vanity brings natural detail and craftsmanship to the room, paired with an undermounted basin, quartz worktop and matching upstand for a refined, practical finish.
The shower area provides a striking focal point, with green feature tiling, a 1m x 2m SMO resin shower tray, integrated lighting and a built-in shower seat. The stable shower wall and fluted half-height shower screen add privacy and softness while allowing light to move through the space.
A freestanding stone composite bath sits beside the garden-facing doors, creating a relaxed and elegant bathing area. Patterned flooring adds charm and a sense of fun, while the bespoke recessed fluted glass cabinet, electric towel bar and electric underfloor heating complete the room with practical luxury. The finished scheme feels traditional, contemporary and individual in equal measure.
The Result:
This Willoughby Farm House master ensuite shows how a bathroom can feel both elegant and playful. By combining a freestanding bath, bespoke reeded wood vanity, quartz surfaces, green feature tiling, patterned flooring and carefully integrated lighting, Eat Soak Sleep created a bathroom that feels luxurious, personal and perfectly suited to the character of the farmhouse.
