Project Notes: Rugby Art Deco Kitchen
The Brief:
Our clients in Rugby wanted a characterful kitchen that would feel elegant, practical and full of personality, while remaining sympathetic to the style of their Art Deco townhouse. The aim was to create a warm and sociable kitchen space that combined classic detailing with modern functionality, making it perfectly suited to everyday family life as well as entertaining. With generous natural light, beautiful period features and a connection to the dining area, the design needed to feel welcoming, refined and carefully balanced.
The Design:
For this Rugby kitchen project, we created a timeless kitchen design centred around a statement kitchen island. The soft green island brings warmth and individuality to the space, while the surrounding light kitchen cabinetry keeps the room feeling bright, fresh and open. Classic framed cabinetry gives the kitchen a traditional feel, while the white worksurfaces, metro-style splashback and elegant brass and copper accents add a more refined contemporary edge. The copper extractor, warm wood flooring and pendant lighting introduce depth, texture and character, helping the kitchen feel both stylish and homely.
The kitchen island provides valuable preparation space, additional storage and informal seating, creating a natural gathering point within the room. Its soft green colour palette works beautifully with the herringbone flooring, wood doors and period details, giving the finished kitchen a relaxed yet sophisticated look.

This Rugby Art Deco kitchen demonstrates how a classic kitchen can be updated for modern living without losing its original charm.
