The Brief:
Our clients in Bilton wanted a bright, open-plan kitchen that would feel elegant, practical and beautifully connected to the adjoining dining and living spaces. The aim was to create a contemporary kitchen with generous storage, a sociable island and a warm, natural finish that would suit everyday family life as well as entertaining. With plenty of natural light, roof glazing and views out to the garden, the design needed to feel open and inviting while still offering strong functionality throughout the room.
The Design:
For this Bilton kitchen project, Eat Soak Sleep designed a refined open-plan kitchen centred around a large statement kitchen island. The island combines a light marble-effect worksurface with clean, handleless kitchen doors, creating a fresh and uncluttered look while providing valuable preparation space, storage and casual seating. Warm wood cabinetry adds depth and texture to the space, softening the contemporary design and giving the kitchen a welcoming, natural feel. Tall units house the integrated appliances, while additional storage solutions, including display cabinetry, open shelving and practical pantry-style storage, help keep the kitchen organised and easy to use.
The combination of pale worksurfaces, wood finishes, glass display units and carefully positioned lighting creates a sophisticated but relaxed atmosphere, whilst a circular breakfast bar area adds an attractive social feature, making the island a natural place for coffee, conversation or informal dining.
The Result:
This Bilton kitchen demonstrates how an open-plan kitchen can be both highly practical and beautifully considered. By combining elegant cabinetry, premium Worksurfaces, integrated Appliances, useful storage and a generous island layout, Eat Soak Sleep created a kitchen that feels bright, modern and perfectly tailored to relaxed family living.
