Project Notes: Rugby Art Deco Main Bathroom
The Brief:
Our clients in Rugby wanted a stylish main bathroom that would feel bright, elegant and in keeping with the character of their Art Deco townhouse. The aim was to create a refined bathroom space with traditional detailing, a statement freestanding bath and a separate shower area, while keeping the overall scheme fresh, practical and timeless. The design needed to balance classic bathroom features with a more contemporary finish, creating a calm and luxurious space for everyday use.
The Design:
For this Rugby bathroom project, Eat Soak Sleep designed a beautiful main bathroom centred around a classic freestanding bath. The bath creates a strong focal point within the room, complemented by elegant industrial-style brassware and a traditional vanity unit. The scheme uses light porcelain tiles across the main walls to keep the space feeling bright and open, while the shower area introduces a dramatic contrast with a bookmatched porcelain tile feature wall, which creates a striking design detail without overpowering the softer, more traditional elements of the room.
A 1200mm sliding shower door makes the shower area practical and space-efficient, while the patterned floor tiles add character and a subtle Art Deco influence. Chrome and industrial-style fittings, decorative mirrors and classic bathroom accessories complete the look, giving the room a refined, carefully considered finish.
The Result:
This Rugby Art Deco main bathroom shows how traditional bathroom styling can be updated with bold feature tiles and practical modern detailing. By combining a freestanding bath, porcelain tiles, industrial-style brassware, a statement shower area and classic vanity furniture, Eat Soak Sleep created a bathroom that feels elegant, bright and perfectly suited to its townhouse setting.
